Chartered in 1932, The Raleigh Jaycees is a group of 400+ civic minded men and women ranging in ages from twenty-one to thirty-nine. Each year we run nearly 100 projects to benefit the local community and many of its charities such as the Jaycee Burn Center at UNC and the Duke Cancer Center.
What makes the Jaycees stand out from many other civic organizations is that we concentrate on leadership development of the individual. One of the mottos that the Jaycees have adopted over the years is Leadership Development though Community Service. Along with fundraising and community volunteerism, we also offer many other activites for our members such as social events (beach trip, snow skiing trip, parties, social outings) and sports (volley ball, softball).
The Raleigh Jaycees Inc. is an affiliate organization of the N.C. Junior Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the Junior Chamber International. The Jaycee movement began in 1921 as a commitment to leadership development for young adults, and is known worldwide as a training ground for community leaders.
Jaycees is shorthand for the Junior Chamber of Commerce (JC's).

We believe
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That earth's great treasure lies in human personality; and
That service to humanity is the best work of life.
